I know, I know… school has been out – ish for like a gazzilion months now, but can’t we just get pumped for summer already?!
I severely love June. And not just because it’s my mom and my bestie’s birth month.
I love June because it’s full of dry, hot desert days with my family in St. George, Utah.
I love June because snow cone huts start popping up in random parking lots and chlorine bleach can be smelled for miles around.
Most of all, I love June because it signifies a new ‘quarter’ of time for me. It may seem strange, but it just feels like my life naturally gravitates toward 3 month chunks. And summer quarter is usually my favorite.
However, in these strange and uncertain times, I’ve been thinking…How am I going to make the start of summer as bombastic as usual?
For starters, I’m going to write all these gorgeously fun days on my calendar.
And then I’m going to celebrate them!
It seems more than usual lately, that we have to MAKE happy times for ourselves, you know? We can wake up with dread for another day, or we can say – um… it’s National Cheese Day, did someone say fondue?!
So, let’s do this! Here’s to the best start of ‘summer quarter’ ever!
